There’s a story of a KB Toys® that was built in a vacant wing of a mall in 1997, only to be mysteriously shuttered right before its grand opening. The wing sat vacant for years, and the mall itself eventually closed in the early 2000s.

Mall employees at the time remember seeing an occasional person entering the sealed store using a keycard, but no one ever knew why. Collectors whisper about corporate documents from that era hinting at a store being quietly repurposed—though for reasons no one will explain.

In recent years, photos have surfaced showing returned mail addressed to KB Toys Store #0323-S. The anonymous posts black out the mall’s details, but the legend only grows: a store that never opened, frozen for nearly 30 years. What’s really behind those sealed doors?
