Blue 1.0 Fulfillment

Blue 1.0 has become much more than a collectible mini bucket.

What started as a simple product idea quickly turned into a journey involving multiple manufacturers, sample reviews, a quality control issue, custom color production, international freight logistics, and one very unexpected detour that created the now-famous Blue 1.0 Black Label Error Bucket.

We created this tracker so collectors can follow the Blue 1.0 story in real time and see exactly where the project stands. Rather than simply waiting for a shipping notification, we wanted to share the entire process—from the first design sketches all the way to delivery at your doorstep.

The Story of the Black Label Error Bucket

During the original Blue 1.0 production process, we discovered a quality control issue involving the bucket color and imprint specifications.

Rather than shipping inventory that did not meet our standards, the affected buckets were removed from fulfillment inventory and the order was restarted with a new manufacturer. These removed buckets were given the name Blue 1.0 Black Label Error Bucket. 

Due to overwhleming interest in obtaining one of these error buckets, we were able to secure a very limited quantity of the inventory from the manufacturer. A small number of collectors who participated in the original Blue 1.0 pre-sale were then given the option to claim a complimentary Blue 1.0 Black Label Error Bucket. Now the story has become part of a unique chapter in KB Toys® history.
